In the hall
You're walking down a long dark narrow hall. The air is thick and musty. Stop, look, and listen. What is that sound? Scratches. Scrapes. Screams. Stop, look, and listen. The sound comes from beneath your feet. You look down at the black, cold, hard ground. As you continue to descend down the hall you see a faint light at the end. Your pace quickens. You strain to reach the light. Fear rushes through your body. You are all alone. You are now running as fast as you can. The light is just in your reach. The air is clearing, you can smell the sea. You run even faster now. You can hear the waves crash onto rocks. The light grows larger and brighter. "Where am I?" You wonder. Then you hear it again. The scratches. Scrapes. SCREAMS! But now it is behind you. Coming closer. You glance over your shoulder to see what it is. You get a glimpse of a silhouette of a giant creature covered in hair. It is coming your way. It is not that far behind you. You continue to run towards the light. Your muscles ache, your chest burns. You feel as if you have been running forever, but at last you reach your destination. You step out into the light. You view a vast sandy beach. The crystal blue ocean goes on and on as the waves reach out to touch your toes. As you turn around to see if the creature is still there you hear another loud sound. A piercing screech fills your ears. Everything around you vanishes into a dark red. The noise continues. You now lay on soft cotton. You open your eyes and you turn off your alarm clock.
